Teaching resources for Primary schools

MoneySmart Teaching offers quality resources for primary teachers from Foundation to Year 6 that are aligned to the Australian curriculum.

Our units of work and teacher guides give educators lesson plans that they can take directly into the classroom. Our digital activities help students to learn real life skills like recognising and counting money and managing a budget.

MoneySmart Clothes

Our Year 5 Integrated unit of work Never too young to be MoneySmart with clothes asks students to share stories about their choice of clothes and accessories and what influences them when making purchases. They collect and analyse data, and investigate areas such as cost, peer pressure, and advertising.

To demonstrate learning, students cost and make an accessory or item of clothing to model at a fashion parade, and report on what influenced their decisions.
